Classical Persian Dance | Intermediate Level

"Poetry through movement." Inspired by the aesthetics of Persian poetry and dance postures, this class will provide an emphasis on the fluidity of movement in Classical Persian dance technique.
شعر در حرکت ".برگرفته از زیبایی شناسی در شعر فارسی و حالت های رقص، این کلاس به بررسی روان و سیال بودن حرکات در تکنیک رقص کلاسیک ایرانی می پردازد.”
Bio:
Melieka Fathi is a choreographer, instructor, and performer of Classical Persian dances. As the daughter of Iranian immigrants, her passion for Persian dance was paved through a sacred connection to Iranian art, and by exploration of her identity as an Iranian-American woman. She is the founder and artistic director of the Melieka Fathi Dance Company based in Los Angeles, California; and has worked with world renowned artists and organization in an effort to preserve and expand upon Iranian arts within diaspora communities.⠀⠀⠀
